We had 7 check-ins to the Medina Simplex Net on 146.540 at 10 AM on Sat. February 2, 2019
1. Bill Stegemueller (Net Control)
2. Winston K5AJN
3. Sig K9XPD
4. Chuck K5CWT
5. Carla W5CPR
6 Lee K5IUM
7. Ken K7PLA
Winston checked in with his 350 mw HT. (Gotta love Winston)
Sig got a new power set up that he was trying out in his RV from Lakehills. He's working out some of the bugs in his system. I could hear him without straining, but nobody else in the group could hear him.
Lee celebrated a birthday yesterday at Lake Buchanan, but chickened out of his yearly tradition of skinny dipping in the Medina River. (Just joking... he strips down to his swim trunks)
Ken was a late check in and hopes to make time today to work on the repeater.
I encouraged everyone to attend the Kerrville monthly club meeting THIS Thursday at Shriner University.
Taken from Kerrville Newsletter: The presenter is a nationally recognized expert in the area of solar activity, Dr. Tamitha Skov. More information on Dr. Skov and her presentation is at this LINK The presentation will begin at 7:00pm and will be in the Cailloux Campus Activity Center (CCAC) Ballroom at Schreiner. Because of the timing of the presentation, our regular club business meeting will be held prior to the program, starting at 6:30pm, and conclude no later than 6:50pm. We will meet in a ballroom adjacent to the room where the presentation will be held. There will be a sign directing you to the meeting location.
